The restaurant closed its doors in 1998 after 69 years of business.  In September 2011, after a 13 year hiatus, the famed Restaurateur reopened as Joe Muer Seafood under the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group. Located in downtown Detroit of the Renaissance Center, the restaurant offers great views of the Detroit River and Canada  with floor to ceiling windows.

Joe Muer Seafood was named 2012 Restaurant of the Year by Hour Detroit Magazine. The restaurant serves up original dishes of "Lobster Bisque made in rich broth with butter poached lobster infused with sherry and crème, Oven Roasted Barramundi a combination of lobster and crab stuffing, Haricots Verts, honey carrots, and black garlic, Fruits of the Sea that includes shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a rich bouillabaisse crème, tossed with linguine pasta, fresh herbs and reggian.

The new restaurant has four bars which include a Raw Bar where fresh shucked oysters are served. The Sushi Bar offers specialty hand rolled sushi like the Joe Muer Roll, Detroit Roll, Blue Lion Roll and Red Wing Roll. Sit at the Piano Bar while listening to the soothing sounds from the baby grand.  Experience a bit of nostalgia and step inside of the "Joe Muer Lounge" a replica of the original lounge from the past.

Sunday Brunch is served from 11am to 3pm where you can indulge bottomless Mimosas, Bloody Mary's and signature dishes like Joe Muer Benedict, Shrimp-n-Grits or the Riverfront Waffle served with bananas, cinnamon and warm maple syrup. Other original dishes like The Prime Muer Burger and Lobster Roll are also available for brunch.

Known as one of the greatest restaurants in American The London Chop House opened in Detroit in 1938.  Started by two brothers Lester and Sam Gruber, the restaurant would become one of the best restaurants in the city. In 1980 Playboy magazine would ranked the London Chop House as one of the top 25 restaurants in the country.

Known for its choice cuts of beef and impeccable service the London Chop House was the quintessential fine dinning experience. The establishment was frequented by auto tycoons, politicians, judges and entertainers. It was a place where men were required to wear jackets and ties until it closed its doors in 1991.

In 2012 the restaurant reopened in its former location at 155 West Congress Street, in downtown Detroit. Many of the original fixtures and furniture were cleaned and refurbished. The restaurant has its old phone number back. The menu will feature classic dishes including Veal Oscar, Filet Dover Sole and the Pancho Burger.  End your night by enjoying your favorite cigar in the LCH Cigar bar, where the finest cigars and premium liquor are offered.
